FAULT INDEX

“스투디야에서 독립 큐레이터 Livia Klein의 기획으로 열리는 《FAULT INDEX》는 풍경, 건축, 신체를 서로 분리된 영역이 아니라 상호 연결된 변형의 장소로 바라보는 여덟 작가의 작업을 한데 모은다. 이들의 작업에서 구조는 끊임없이 형성되고, 이동하며, 다시 구성된다. 이는 안정성이 애초부터 고정된 상태가 아니었음을 드러낸다. 전시의 제목은 이러한 역학을 가리킨다. 균열(fault)은 겉보기에 안정적으로 유지되던 질서가 무너지기 시작하는 순간을 의미하며, 지표(index)는 그러한 변화가 발생한 뒤에도 남아 그것을 가리키는 흔적이다.

<FAULT INDEX>, curated by Livia Klein at STUDIYA Seoul, brings together eight artistic positions that move across landscape, architecture, and the body as interconnected sites of transformation rather than separate domains. Structures within these works are continuously formed, displaced, and reconfigured, revealing that stability was never fixed to begin with. Its title names this dynamic: a fault marks the moment an apparently stable order begins to give way, while an index is what persists once that shift has occurred.”
