Nana & Felix 개인전: 조경산수

이번 개인전 <조경 산수>에서 아티스트 듀오 나나와 펠릭스는 인간이 만든 문화환경을 관찰하고 기록한다. 네 가지의 작품들이 결합한 이 전시는 도시를 하나의 구체적인 장소이면서 동시에 하나의 상징으로 묘사한다. 애니메이션, 사진, 수집된 오브제 및 조형물들로 이루어진 일련의 작품들은 광란의 개발과 환경의 변모라는 문제를 정면으로 바라보고, 그 과정에서 파생되는 안락함에 의존하는 우리의 모습을 인지하며 나아가 생존의 심리적 필수조건으로 ‘아름다움’을 찾아헤메는 인간의 여정을 반영한다. 산업생산, 소비주의, 도시 계획 및 도시 개발에 대한 선전에 대한 뚜렷한 분석과 묘사를 통해 나나와 펠릭스는 ‘진보의 미학’에 대한 실체를 파악하고 상세히 묘사하려 노력한다.

In this exhibition the Artist duo Nana & Felix continue observing and documenting the man-made, cultural environment. The exhibition combines four bodies of work that focus on the city both as a tangible place and as a metaphor. Ranging from animation to photography, found objects and sculptures the works address the issues of frantic development and environmental transformation while acknowledging our dependency on the comfort deriving from this very process, and reflecting on humans’ quest for beauty as an essential psychological tool for survival. Through a lucid analysis and representation of industrial production, consumerism, urban planning and propaganda, Nana & Felix try to understand and elaborate an aesthetics of progress.
